Located in the commune of Bommes in the Sauternes appellation of Bordeaux, the estate of Chateau Mauras produces a sweet white wine typified by local botrytis conditions. According to the technical sheet for the 2012 vintage, the vineyard lies on “clavey and gravelly” soils that provide moderate drainage and contribute to concentration of the grapes.
