The Bordeaux varietals from Château St. Jean have always done well and again are realistically priced. The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley was blended with 5% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot and spent 20 months in a combination of mostly French but some American oak. The wine is a sleeper of the vintage at this price point.A medium to full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon with noticeable but ripe tannin. This is a beauty and definitely a sleeper.
