The beginning of the Chivas brand is at the beginning of the 19th century, at the distillery of the brothers James and John Chivas, who used to manufacture beverages and foods for the nobility class in Europe. Due to the high quality of their products, the two were endeared by the British kingdom. The Royal Salute 21 was manufactured in honor of the crowning of Queen Elizabeth the 2nd in 1953, and its name – royal salute – symbolizes the traditional salute by the royal navy's corps.
