Dalwhinnie is made in the highest working distillery in Scotland at an altitude of 1,173 feet (357.5m) with stream water that flows from mountain lochs. It is produced in one of the coldest inhabited places in Scotland, with a recorded average annual temperature of 6C in 1994.
