Description
Bowmore 12 Year Old Sherry Oak Cask is a single malt Scotch whisky with a balance of rich sherry, fruit, and smoke notes, a result of its maturation in Oloroso sherry casks. The aroma features vanilla, caramel, red berries, and marzipan, while the palate offers ripe pears, peaches, lemon juice, toasted almonds, and cinnamon, with a finishing warmth of spice and gentle peat smoke. Its color is a deep amber, and it has a long, spicy finish.

Expert Review
Bowmore 12 Year Old has received much critical acclaim; the late, great whisky writer Michael Jackson proclaimed it "remarkably long and complex". We like to think of it as vanilla ice cream at a beach bonfire. Tasting Notes Nose - subtle lemon and honey, balanced beautifully by Bowmore's trademark peaty smokiness. Palate - sweet and delicious heather honey and gentle peat smoke. Finish - long, mellow finish.
