The Chateau Bourdieu Absolu 2018 is a rich, ample Bordeaux from Blaye with Merlot as the dominant grape, supplemented by Cabernet Sauvignon. It offers ripe fruit, good depth, well-integrated oak and firm but polished tannins. While it can be enjoyed now, it has the structure to age a few more years. Pair it with hearty red meats, game or strong cheeses.
Deep, intense ruby red
The nose shows ripe cassis, wild blackberry, touches of violet, nutmeg, Sichuan pepper.
Juicy, well-balanced with good definition and mineral frame. Flavours include ripe/fleshy cassis, black cherry, raspberry, strawberry, liquorice, vanilla and toasted almond.
