Their vineyard for this cuvee is planted on sandy soils, with relatively young vines (around 10 years old) according to one technical sheet.
For the 2020 vintage, Chateau Terrier des Cailloux continues their commitment to focused fruit extraction and a minimalist ageing / vinification approach. According to their data: skin maceration at ~8 °C, ageing ~10 months in concrete tanks, and product aimed at capturing fruit and freshness rather than heavy oak.
The Blaye Cotes de Bordeaux appellation lies just across the Gironde from the Medoc, benefiting from oceanic influence, and the region is increasingly recognised for value-driven red wines based on Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
