Description
Sourced from hillside sloping vineyards in the Upper and Lower Yarra Valley, the grapes are pressed using gentle handling techniques. Fermented and matured in seasoned and new (26%) French oak barriques, puncheons and vats for up to nine months prior to blending and bottling.

Palate
Elegant and textural, the palate boasts characters of white peach, pear and lemon barley. Subtle French oak spice is enhanced by creamy barrel fermentation notes and mineral slate. Juicy citrus acidity gives the palate balance and length.

The 2012 Coldstream Hills Chardonnay opens with a nose of white peaches drizzled with acacia honey, clotted cream and scones with just a touch of allspice. Light to medium-bodied, it is on the delicate side of Chardonnay but shows good intensity and poise before finishing with decent length. Drink it now.
