Glenfarclas 105 is one of the most iconic cask strength Scotch whiskies from the independent family-owned Glenfarclas Distillery in Speyside, Scotland. First introduced in 1968, it was among the world’s first commercially available cask strength single malts. The name “105” refers to the old British proof system, equivalent to 60% ABV.

Matured primarily in ex-Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, Glenfarclas 105 is renowned for its intense “sherry bomb” profile with layers of dried fruits, spice and oak richness. Despite the high alcohol content, it is widely praised for remaining surprisingly smooth and balanced when enjoyed neat or with a splash of water.
