La Croix des Aubrais is a brand positioned in premium Bordeaux appellations, in this case the prestigious Pauillac AOC on the Left Bank. According to the producer’s information, the 2021 Pauillac comes from vines over 30 years old planted on Garonne gravel over clay soils.
Vinification is described as “manual harvest, traditional vinification in thermoregulated stainless‑steel vats” and ageing for 12 months in barrels and the remainder in one‑year‑old oak barrels.
The series itself is made in collaboration between a large Bordeaux cooperative and five well‑regarded chateaux, where these wines are vinified and aged “to chateau standards” yet released under the La Croix des Aubrais label.
Thus the 2021 vintage here stands as a value‑focused yet serious Pauillac, offering access to a classic terroir with strong vine age, gravel soils and defined winemaking.
