An exciting revival of a classic style with best characteristics of traditional California and old world Bordeaux. Due to a dry spring the seeds matured nicely, giving the wines great texture. The flavors and aromas are a brilliant expression of varietal character, an expression rarely seen since the 1970’s and is a dramatic expression of Cabernet Sauvignon. It shows the silver lining of this unheralded vintage and was aged 15 months in French oak, 35% new oak. This 2011 will be vibrant and pleasing and will age gracefully for many years.
