The brand "Jim Beam" was created in 1795 by an American of German origin, called Jacob Bohem, who later changed his last name to Beam. He created the distillate from corn he himself had grown, and optimized it until achieving the recipe that constituted the basis for the original Jim Beam. Over the years, Jim Beam became a family business, and the distillery was developed and expanded. At the end of the prohibition period in the USA, in 1933, the distillery became a great commercial success.
