The domain was founded by the father of Lucien Michel, Marcel Michel, who did the first bottling at his domain in 1966. Since 1979 Marie Jose and Lucien Michel have run the property. The next generation Claire Fabre has since 2008 had the responsability for the winemaking. She is married to another winegrower Adrien Fabre Domaine la Florane in Visan. In 2013 Claire's brother Francois joined her at the domain, and the two of them became officially responsible for the property together with their mother Marie Michel. The domain covers 15 ha of Chateauneuf du Pape, one of them with white varieties.
The cellar of the domain is situated by the route from Chateauneuf du Pape to Courthezon. In 2011 an office and reception were built by the cellar. Since then you can buy the wines here if anyone is present. The bottling and the storing of the wines takes place at Prestige et Tradition south of the village owned by several domains together. Lucien and Marcel Michel still live at 9, Avenue Saint Joseph, the former centre of the domain, when Claire and her husband live in another house in Chateauneuf du Pape.
Complex aromas and flavors of ripe blackberries, mulberries, peppery garrigue, flowers, and orange blossom
Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it shows the more charming, mid-weight style of the vintage, has silky tannins, wonderful overall balance, and outstanding length
Deep plum/purple
