Pauillac is a well-regarded a commune and appellation on Bordeaux's Medoc peninsula. It is home to some of the world's most famous and expensive red wines, wines made predominantly from the Cabernet Sauvignon grape variety.
The Pauillac de Chateau du Latour is made primarily from young vines. About 20% new barrels are used in the vinification of the Pauillac but the precise proportion depends on the characteristics of the vintage. This generous, balanced wine is an excellent introduction to the family of wines produced by Chateau Latour.
