The Process of Creation

The creation of Grey Goose begins in Picardy with soft winter wheat planted in October and harvested by August. The gentle climate in Picardy yields superior bread-making wheat. After the harvest, the wheat is milled four times over 24 hours, producing the flour required for fermentation.

Unlike barley, wheat flour requires enzymes to break down carbohydrates into fermentable sugars. Grey Goose utilises a six-tank continuous fermentation process, each stage fine-tuning the conversion. The resulting wheat beer, about 10% ABV, is then distilled through five column stills, fine-tuning the spirit to a final 92% ABV. The spirit is then transported to the Cognac region of France, where spring water from a well 150 meters below the plant is added, achieving bottling proof.

Grey Goose also offers a wide range of flavoured vodkas, launched after the brand's immense success in 1998. The first was L'Orange in 2001, followed by Le Citron in 2002. All of these variants are made with 100% natural fruits and botanicals.
