Description

Taittinger Nocturne Rose is a "Sec" champagne made of Chardonnay (30%), Pinot Noir as well as Pinot Meunier (70%) blended from around 30 different vineyards. A quantity of still red wine (15%) produced from the best Pinot Noirs from Montagne de Reims and Les Riceys is in face added to the final blend. A 17.5g per dosage of sugar cane combined with the slow cellar-ageing of four years create a round and smooth Rosé champagne that is perfect to enjoy in the late evening.

The colour is a bright, intense and flamboyant pink. Effervescence form a delicate cordon of fine foam. A full-bodied nose reveals delicious aromas of patisserie. On the palate, the attack is clean and generous while preserving its freshness. There are noticeable but very silky tannins. Taittinger Nocturne Rosé is a structured, voluptuous wine that presents an elegant, well-integrated balance of sugar, acid and tannins.

"With 288 hectares of vineyards Taittinger is the third largest vineyard owner in the Champagne region and everyone in the team is proud of being a winegrower and a real artisan, working towards producing Champagne House’s unique style. This style is the result of a quest for quality and the beautiful synergy of its Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes.

The estate is made up of 37% Chardonnay, 48% Pinot Noir and 15% Pinot Meunier vines, distributed equally across 37 different vineyards which are amongst the best in the Champagne appellation."
