World Gin Day

This story is about Neil and Emma Gin meetups that started in Birmingham and how it spawned into a World Wide Event. Birmingham is so lucky to be the birthplace!

How it all began...

Neil had one simply objective – get his friends together to drink gin. It’s almost similar to creating a WhatsApp Chat Group Gintime and inviting everyone to have Gintastic Time. Typical weekend at the pub with your friends.

At that time, Emma and Neil were gin-friends and they thought it would make sense to bring the celebration to London, where some of Emma’s friends joined in the celebration at a lovely Gin bar in Soho, called Graphic.

In 2013, Emma formally took charge of the day, due to Neil’s work commitments, and the day has since evolved into a truly global celebration with events running in over 30 countries around the world, reaching over 200 million people on social channels.
